Think of Nashville, and thoughts immediately turn to the country music sound that drives the beating heart of the city musically. Prepare to be surprised though when you hear this absolutely brilliant debut single from Kyd The Band. Going against the grain, they’re an alternative duo based in the city, comprising of talented brothers Kyle and Devin Guisande, who've co-written and co-produced this song. The soundtrack to their formative teen years was hip-hop and 90’s rock, and you’ll hear those influences blended through this tune. The boys have been based in the city since 2014 and have worked with acts including Bones Thugs N’ Harmony (writing and producing tracks for their comeback album), Gorgon City, and, most recently supported emerging hip-hop artist NF on his entire Therapy Session Tour. It’s not very often that we hear an act arrive, seemingly from nowhere, with a track that sounds this polished, catchy, accomplished and genuinely capable of world domination. American Dreamer is all of that and more. Tell you what, this is 2017's best debut single we've heard so far.
