Drunk & Incapable (ft. Melissa Steel)
Krishane
WE SAY
Extending those positive summer vibes for just a few weeks longer, young newcomer Krishane is the 20 year old son of reggae legend Barrington Levy. He grew up singing and writing as a teenager in Manchester, Jamaica before moving to London a couple of years ago, having absorbed all of that incredible musical heritage around him and it shines through on this sunshine-filled debut track. Combining dancehall sounds with a fresh pop sensibility he's joined here by Melissa Steel, straight from her recent UK Top 10 breakthrough hit Kisses For Breakfast. It's just been added to Radio 1's playlist, 1Xtra's B-list, Kiss plus Kiss Fresh and production comes from Bless Beats who's just been working with Jess Glynne. He's also in the studio working on material for a debut album with other key producers and Sony ATV signed him up to a publishing deal within a week of hearing his forthcoming music. Now don't be surprised if this supremely-talented kid becomes one of pop's biggest names worldwide in 2015.
