Baby Bye Bye
Kitty, Daisy & Lewis
WE SAY
Currently Huw Stephens’ Single Of The Week at Radio 1, this uniquely quirky tune from north London siblings Kitty, Daisy & Lewis draws from so many joyful influences, across several decades, making it impossible to pigeonhole. You’ll hear vintage country, even a dash of proper old fashioned rhythm ’n’ blues, making it all gloriously infectious from the off. The legendary Mick Jones of The Clash has produced their forthcoming album Kitty, Daisy & Lewis The Third (released January 26) and this single from it has also been picking up plays across Radio 2, 6Music and Xfm. The trio start a three month European and US tour in 2015, which includes a date at London’s Electric Ballroom on February 18. Have a look at the video too, directed by 2014 AIM Video Award winner Tom Coles, who’s put a deliciously dark and twisted spin on it all too. Musically, this is all fabulously refreshing on a cold December day.
