These Four Walls

Khamari

Since '93/RCA

WE SAY

Continuing to impress us with his modern spin on R&B is our Ones To Watch 2023 artist, Los Angeles-based, Dorchester (Boston) raised songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist artist Khamari. Drawing on influences ranging from Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone and the Beatles to Frank Ocean, Kid Cudi and Nina Simone, his singles, including 'Doctor, My Eyes', 'Drifting', and 'Right My Wrongs', have caught the attention of Clara Amfo at Radio 1 (who has played everything he has released), along with DJ Target, DJ Ace & Nadia Jae at 1Xtra, Manny Norte at Capital Xtra and on community radio, like Reprezent, Beat FM and Croydon FM. At DSPs, Khamari has been supported editorially at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal, while at press, he has been praised by GUAP, Arena Homme, Hunger, Notion and Clash, to name just a few. Today (26 May) sees Khamari release his gorgeous and earnest debut album, 'A Brief Nirvana', which showcases his personal and artistic growth and contains this tender gem. The album is a beautiful listen, and if you are looking for an album and artist, which intersects timeless musicality and contemporary style, then look no further and take a listen. Top stuff.
