Keywest are another fantastic Dublin-based band worthy of your attention this weekend at The Great Escape. Performing at the Mesmerist tomorrow evening (18 May) as part of the Alternative Escape, the four-piece have gone from busking on the streets of Dublin to topping the Irish album charts with their second album in 2015. They are now one of the biggest independent artists in Ireland thanks to their latest album release True North. The album reached number 3 in the Irish charts earlier this year and this gorgeous folk-pop driven ballad clearly shows why. The band recently sold out the Olympia Theatre in Dublin (1,650 capacity) and have played arena support slots for the likes of Bastille, Bryan Adams and Kodaline, as well as perform at Electric Picnic, Cornbury and Country to Country festivals. Through a ton of hard work and commitment to their music, Keywest have built a solid fanbase in Ireland with their heartwarming singles and are now looking to take their sound globally. Anthemic pop rock.
