My Name Is Trouble
Keren Ann
WE SAY
101 is the follow up to Israeli/Dutch artist Keren Ann's much-praised 2007 eponymous album. Her sixth album, but first for Parlophone, is gathering early reviews which point to an artist about to make a breakthrough: 'Spectacularly produced art-pop. As agile and aesthetic as Talking Heads… with depth to match its wit.' say Uncut. Word called it '(a) rich, mature piece of salon pop', while Q called it 'magical'. The mix of styles, from the classy disco-lite of this single, to the chilling atmosphere of Strange Weather, makes it a compelling listen from an artist whose days as a 'best- kept secret' feel like they are coming to an end.
