Released yesterday (1 October), ‘Babette’ is the stunning new single from Northampton-based indie rock singer-songwriter Katie Malco. Recorded in between tours in the UK, US and Europe, ‘Babette’ is the second single in a series of new tracks, all of which feature guest female and non-binary artists, following the release of her debut album, ‘Failures’. With her lush and welcoming vocals combining beautifully with SOAK on a rich, American indie-tinged soundscape, the song is perfect for additions to new releases and indie editorial playlists at DSPs, alongside spins on 6 Music and specialist shows at Radio 1 and Radio 2. Watch the video here. Previous tastemaker support has come from NPR, Clash, DIY, Dork, Brooklyn Vegan, The Line of Best and many more. She is currently touring the US with Julien Baker and then with Advance Base before heading back to the UK for a headline tour in December, including a show at Moth Club in London on 11 December.
