Blueberry Pie/EMI

WE SAY

Kate Walsh's 2007 album Tim’s House reached No.1 on the iTunes Album Chart while she was still unsigned, an achievement which still hasn't been equalled. Her follow-up Light & Dark, produced by Tim Bidwell and mixed by Andy Green, is self-released next month. Trying, another effortlessly classy song from Kate, is one of two tracks on the album featuring Turin Brakes. It’s also one side of a limited edition 7” which precedes the album's release. Kate's 20-date tour starts in Manchester at the end of September. JF London gig: October 14, The Tabernacle W11
