Human Beings
Karin Park
WE SAY
Last time we featured Scandi singer-songwriter Karin Park was at the end of 2014 with that towering beast of a tune Look What You've Done. That song and this latest excellent track, co-written with the great Guy Chambers, both feature on the forthcoming album Apocalypse Pop. Karin has crafted tracks for it alongside Zero 7, Jim Eliot and Dave McCracken and with key tastemaker support in the past from the likes of Vice Noisey, Clash, I.D. and Wonderland, Karin could now be about to go mainstream in a very big way. She’s currently inviting fans to submit their own original footage, telling real-life human stories, which will form the imagery for what will undoubtedly be a rather moving music video. With UK gigs coming up next month, including a London date at Oslo on April 28, this striking artist may finally on the verge of international breakthrough with what’s definitely her best and most personal song yet.
