Plastic Straws

Kacia

Salt House Records

WE SAY

‘Plastic Straws’ is the stripped-back, guitar-led alt-pop song from 21 year old Kieran Polling, aka Kacia. Taken from his forthcoming debut album ‘What If Life Was A Movie’, this third release explores the journey from youth to adulthood and was written just as he was about to go to university. A collaborative effort with longtime friend and artist Luke Adams (St Luna) and enhanced by additional production from Matt Fisher at Cave Studios. The album is being mixed by Oli Jacobs (Taylor Swift, The 1975) and mastered by Nomograph (Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith). The song was featured across editorial playlists at Apple Music and has earned tastemaker praise for its superb writing and vocal delivery from the likes of Earmilk, Clout, Wolf In A Suit, and more. Accompanying the release is the heartfelt video, which picks up from where his last music video for ‘Night Out’ ends. It’s early days for Kacia, but with each release, this multiple BBC Introducing supported artist is showing that he is a talented songwriter with a knack for crafting heartwarming alt-pop.
