2019 has been a phenomenal year for London-based singer, songwriter, producer and performer Joy Crookes. Since breaking out this time last year with her gorgeous Don’t Let Me Down, she has amassed over 21m global streams, 8m YouTube views, and sold over 3,000 tickets to her shows, plus released two fantastic EPs, Reminiscence and Perception. We featured this superb track back in October after it was heralded by Annie Mac as Joy’s best record so far and championed by the likes of Maya Jama, Clara Amfo, and Rickie, Melvin & Charlie. It was subsequently added to Radio 1’s C list and saw Joy perform the track with Jafaris on Later with Jools Holland. It’s a beautiful track that has helped her to receive a nomination for the BRITs Rising Award, as well as tipped for big things next year by us, Amazon, YouTube, VEVO, MTV and the BBC Music Sound of 2020 poll. Congratulations to Joy, Insanity and the extended team, and here’s to a big 2020 for you all.
