WE SAY
Australian artist Josh Pyke releases his debut album Memories And Dust in the UK later this month through Island. He was originally signed to small Australian indie label Ivy League Records in 2005, a label co-founded by a member of fellow countrymen Youth Group, where he released an EP. The current album debuted at number four on the Australian album chart earlier this year and has already been nominated for The J Award (Australian album of the year). This will be the next single from a very strong collection of songs; the album is full of this kind of quirky acoustic story-telling which drips with mass appeal. He manages to be delightfully tuneful and engagingly intense at the same time throughout the record. JF London Gig: June 6 Dingwalls NW1
