On The Road
Jodie Marie
WE SAY
Transcending pop fashion Jodie Marie's debut single recalls the likes of Carole King and Joni Mitchell making for a compelling soul song. Toby L, co-founder of Transgressive Management discovered Jodie after a landlady in Wales suggested to his father that he listened to a local plumber's daughter’s music. Only 20 years old, Jodie's On The Road will be the first release on relaunched Decca label Verve. This summer she toured the Scottish Highlands, played a sold out debut show in her native capital Cardiff, and played St Pancras Old Church in London. In October Jodie will support Nerina Pallot on her UK dates before embarking on a full European tour. We can't wait to hear more but until then this is a great song to launch Jodie's career.
