Hide Me
Joana and the Wolf
WE SAY
Fronted by Lithuanian singer-songwriter Joana Glaza, London-based Joana and the Wolf's next single is an anthemic signature track from a band whose star is rising. Hide Me, featured recently on an episode of BBC1's show Waterloo Road, is powered by a singer who can draw on her Eastern folk roots and operatic inspiration for a memorable vocal turn (you may remember her voice Kasabian's 2006 track Empire). The release is backed by the rootsy and ethereal Vagabond Song (listen on SoundCloud). A strong showing at festivals across Europe, and appearances at The Great Escape, Camden Crawl and an NME headline show at Koko has set the foundations for a busy and more prolific 2011. Previous radio support for the band has come from Steve Lamacq at BBC 6Music.
