WE SAY
The fantastic Play Shy sets a strong mark as the debut from a band that are only 18 years old. The rewards of a co-write with Guy Sigsworth (Bjork and Madonna), the song is being greeted with a whirlwind reception and has gone straight onto the Radio 1 Introducing playlist. The childhood friends that make up the Jess Hall Band are showing a confidence in their craft mature well beyond their years. Combined with the experience of songwriters such as Guy, Jimmy Hogarth and Len Arran, their debut EP (December 5) makes for an exciting project. For now, the 4-piece are still available for records and publishing.
