Canadian singer-songwriter Jenn Grant recently released her latest album Paradise to much acclaim, both in her native country and here in the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. She’s built a solid fanbase for her music, thanks to major syncs for her beautiful songs in TV dramas like Grey’s Anatomy, Being Human and Heartland, and her latest work was written and recorded in Nova Scotia around the time that the music world was reeling from the deaths of Bowie and Prince last year. The latest collection of songs are designed to reflect hope, especially in these times when it often seems all hope for the future is lost. Jenn’s sound has been described as ‘astral pop’, and you’ll hear those heavenly influences blend neatly here with organic folk, indie rock and that enchanting voice of hers. Her May 17 gig in London at The Green Note is sold out, and she’ll soon play her biggest show to date back home at Toronto’s Massey Hall. This song is alluring and mesmerising throughout. Turn it up, close your eyes and we defy you not to be positively enthralled by it as you absorb its full glory.
