WE SAY
Delivering irresistible R&B grooves and alluring pop melodies, Topdown is the silky new single from London-based alt-pop artist Jay Lewn. Inspired by the likes of Frank Ocean, James Blake and Sampha, Jay is a classically trained chemistry graduate who has also engineered sounds for Beabadoobee, 88 Rising and Yuna. On top of that, he’s collaborated with and written for JGrrey and Che Lingo, received support from Annie Mac, BBC Introducing and Sofar Sounds, and last year, dropped his debut EP, Form 01. This lusciously low-key offering is the first track to be taken from his upcoming seven part project Loverboy (featuring Jaz Karis & JGrrey). With a penchant for minimalistic and soulful sounds, Jay Lewn is a new and young artist embarking on the next step of his career path, and one to keep an eye on.
