Arachnophobia
Jann
WE SAY
We were completely bewitched upon our first listen to ‘Arachnophobia’ by Polish pop artist, writer and producer Jann. From the soothing opening piano motif and vocals, Jann takes us on a sonic journey through whispered worlds, soaring melodies and atmospheric electronica. It’s a rich and evocative soundscape that breaks traditional pop norms but one that is so deserving of attention. The 25-year-old’s unique scale (four-octave scale) led him to the National Opera in Warsaw in his youth, where he performed for several years. He then moved to London where he studied at BIMM. In 2020, he released his debut single ‘Do You Wanna Come Over’ and followed that up with his debut EP, ‘Power’, and a headline tour of Poland in 2023, which sold out in less than 24 hours. At the start of this year, he headed out on his first international headline tour, and shortly after that, he supported Madison Beer on the European leg of her tour. With over 85m streams on Spotify, several Spotify Viral top 50 Charts positions, and a legion of fans across Europe, Jann will release his album on 11 October. Coinciding with his album release, Jann will tour Europe, including a show at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 2 November. There is a lot to love about Jann’s artistic vision and music, and with more to come from him, we reckon there is a bright future ahead of this star-in-the-making.
