As former X Factor contestant James Arthur sits at No.1, let’s welcome back another of the show’s alumni, 21-year old Janet Devlin. She was a memorable Northern Irish teenager from 2011's series, and has built her loyal band of ‘Devlinators’ ever since. In 2014, we featured her excellent Creatures Of The Night, co-written by Newton Faulkner and taken from her hugely under-rated debut album Running With Scissors. She's now a regular YouTube creator of songs, poems, covers and vlogs, amassing over 270,000 global subscribers and growing fast, helped by her regular multi time zone online shows. Of late, she’s written two songs in Gaelic for a film that she’s starring in, and soon heads out on her third 'My Opium' UK headline tour, taking in a London's Union Chapel on December 8, before recording her next album, Holy Water, for release in 2017. The video premiered yesterday (October 3) on Digital Spy and there’s been additional press support so far on this single from The Sun, Huffington Post and Irish World. Talented, quirky, relatable - what more could you ask for?
