Jamie N Commons' husky blues vocal is representative of a man well beyond his 22 years. The story of a murderous preacher, this incredible song announces to the stage a massive talent. Jamie's commanding vocal is supported excellently by his five-piece band, creating a track that sounds like the backdrop to a wild west showdown. The Goldsmiths music graduate may be from London, but sounds far more influenced by his Chicago upbringing. Jamie is impressing tastemakers at a storming rate, setting the blog world on fire, and has already been championed by 6Music, Xfm, Radio 1, The Guardian and can boast Elvis Costello amongst his fans. Drawing comparisons to the likes of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, Jamie possesses an ability and gift that deserves recognition. Video.
