These Are The Days

Jamie Cullum

Universal Classics & Jazz

WE SAY

A jazz record by someone who looks like he'd get the young girlie vote in Fame Academy, and a huge corporate priority to boot? It must be awful, right? Wrong - as we realised when we heard the music. Jamie's album is beautifully recorded in analogue by Stewart Levine, featuring quality vocals, choice covers including Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Buckley and, more importantly, some original songs. These Are The Days, written by his brother Ben, is one of them and it could do for Jamie what Don't Know Why did for Norah Jones.
