White Heat

It Man

Sore Records

WE SAY

Premiered by Steve Lamacq as a New Music Fix on his BBC 6 Music show last Friday (31 March), White Heat is the debut release from It Man. Born from the ashes of The Jacques, who tasted early success touring with The Libertines, playing Glastonbury and SXSW, being championed by BBC radio and the release of their debut album, The Four Five Three, It Man marks a new musical direction for the band after losing their original bassist before the release of their first album. With a jaunty and slightly shambolic Britpop undertone laced cleverly within this addictive indie gem, White Heat is refreshing yet nostalgic witty ode destined for further spins at 6 Music, Radio 1 and Radio X, alongside indie and alternative editorial playlists additions at DSPs. Recorded by the legendary The Strokes producer Gordon Raphael and mixed by another producer giant Dan Swift, White Heat has everything, we think, to help refuel the flames of indie music to its former heights. This May will see the four-piece support Talk Show and head out on tour with Brix Smith, including a show at The Lower Third on 28 May.
