The thing that first hits you on this brilliant track from Infinity Ink is that insidious 4/4 beat. Almost immediately, one of the finest basslines we’ve heard all year then worms its way in and refuses to go away. It drives the entire track along along with the fantastic lyrical hook ’I’m the brother of the mother of the DJ’s friend’. The duo Ali Love and Luca Cazal are the twisted geniuses behind this absolute belter, and it’s one of the coolest club cuts of the season. Mixed by their long-term collaborator Mark Ralph (who’s also worked with Years & Years and Hot Chip), it marks Infinity Ink’s return, after their house-supergroup project Hot Natured, and recently reached No.4 on th Upfront Club Chart and No.2 on the Buzz Chart. They’re prepping an album and have played both DJ sets and summer live shows around Europe and the US, with Paradise in Ibiza next on September 14. With Radio 1 support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Danny Howard, plus club support from Oliver Heldens, Seth Troxler, Claptone, Judge Jules, Benny Benassi, Sister Bliss and more, this is a beast of a tune.
