Last week we had the pleasure of receiving this sumptuous debut from London-based singer-songwriter Imogen Mahdavi in our inbox. Led by her honeyed vocals, Doormat Darling is a beautifully seductive and slinky blend of heady trip-hop laced electronica with dreamy 60s pop. It's a gorgeous listen, conjuring up comparisons to Goldfrapp, Dusty Springfield, and Florence + The Machine that will draw you in with every passing bar until you end up wanting to play it on a loop for the rest of the day. Previously Imogen has featured as a vocalist on Le Malls’ EDM banger that has amassed over 3.5m combined streams and was also named as one of 11 female artists to watch in Elle Magazine. A cinematic and confessional alt-pop gem that is uniquely her own with all the hallmarks of becoming a streaming hit on mellow and coffee contextual playlists the world over. Simply wonderful.
