WE SAY
Having already written and recorded with acts including Ed Sheeran, Rudimental and Wilkinson, IMAN is also a hugely-gifted songwriter and performer in her own right, and she’s finally being noticed, thanks to this latest release. Her previous two singles Naive and Golden found favour with tastemaker blogs including The 405 and this song was recently premiered by Clash. Beginning with minimalist electro chords and synths basslines underpinning her soulful pop vocal, it soon develops into a lively dance workout with tasty old-skool Italiano house-influenced piano hooks populating the track. She’s recently received funding from PRSF to put on a 15-date UK tour throughout 2017 and her upcoming London shows include Pop Revue on March 7, ROAR on March 28 and the Chocolate Factory on April 12. Watch out too for an interview piece in the London Evening Standard this week along with a style feature on fashion retailer website Missguided. Talented and ambitious, her time to shine as a solo star is now and this confident uplifting track deserves your full attention.
