Drawing on inspiration from trap, drill, hip hop and reggae, rising Mancunian rapper Hxxdz is an artist who has already caught the attention of tastemakers DJ Target (1Xtra), BBC Introducing Manchester, P110, Link Up TV, and GRM Daily, to name just a few. His earlier releases saw him deliver confident and cold flows, showcasing his knack for lyricism and his love for the likes of Juice Wrld, A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Northside and Lil Baby. Now back with this modern twist on Mario’s 2004’s Let Me Love You, Hxxdz portrays an honest, softer and more vulnerable side. It’s a sublime number, deserving of editorial playlist features at DSPs and spins on Radio 1, 1Xtra, Capital Xtra and Kiss. One to watch.
