Huskies
WE SAY
Huskies are an unsigned four-piece band from Nottingham but they’re already getting noticed in all the right places. Their track Whatever Together first came to light through BBC Introducing and its popularity there led to it being synced on a special New York episode of E4’s cult TV show Made In Chelsea. Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and Tom Robinson at 6Music are fans of the group alongside the team at Amazing Radio. NME featured them a few months back, Fred Perry filmed their set at this year’s Dot To Dot Festival and now their about to release their debut EP, featuring this lively little number and another great track Surrender. Their next London show is at The Garage in Islington this Saturday night (November 22) then they’ll be launching the EP with a hometown date at Nottingham’s Bodega on November 27. No-nonsense guitar pop with instant impact and full of nostalgic leanings, this does everything you could ever want from a three minute power burst of youthful exuberance.
