Do Do Do

Hot Rocket

unsigned

WE SAY

Hot Rocket are a five-piece from South West London who have recently worked as a backing band to lots of acts on London's so-called nu-folk scene (Laura Marling, Jay Jay Pistolet among others). Their own music couldn't be further removed from nu-folk, as this very catchy number shows. Songs like Tammy and Just A Boy on their MySpace highlight another side, which perhaps explains why their signatures are so sought after by interested labels at the moment. XFM have added this well-executed, fun song to their playlist, the only unsigned band on it at present - a promising start. JF London gig: November 26 Skip Skip Jump at The Troubadour,SW5 (Single launch party)
