WE SAY
Beat Bop is the limited edition first release of Southend band Hoodlums. It's a one-off through Nude Records after the band were spotted by label founder Saul Galpern at their Boogaloo Bar residency. Tom Robinson at 6Music is a fan, giving this track its first radio play and hosting a session with Hoodlums earlier this year. Interest from publisher and labels is strong, which is little wonder with fresh, sharply-written tracks like this. JF London gig: April 28, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen N1
