Austrian duo Markus Schulz & Mario Staniek are HEART FX, a production team whose first single Thinking Of You topped more than two million streams on Spotify, and was released via Flamingo Records, the label set up by Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman. Now though, they’ve moved over to Big & Dirty and are the first act there that’s helping re-define the sound of the Dutch label previously known for its edgy club sounds from names like Mord Fustang, Lazy Rich and Mosimann. This track features a fabulous vocal from British singer-songwriter Joe Jury, and his lyrics speak of the anxiety that affects so many young people these days as they strive for happier times ahead in the uncertain world we live in. Musically, it’s bang on trend, with that clean minimalist electro pop production sound that dominates global charts right now evident throughout, and it’s one that cleverly helps Jury’s lyrics of isolation seem even more detached. Neatly executed and packed with hooks, it’s an impressive collaboration.
