WE SAY
We’ve been seriously impressed with the music coming from 20 year old indie alternative artist Harvey Jay Dogson over the past year and tipped him as an act to catch at the Great Escape festival earlier this year. Since then, he has had his debut and RotD-featured track Caroline synced to Netflix movie Purple Hearts, performed at Isle of Wight, Live at Leeds, 110above and Victorious festivals and garnered more tastemaker praise for his music. Last Friday (14 October), he dropped this absolute belter from his forthcoming second EP produced by Michael Smith (Wolf Alice, Anteros) at RYP Studios. The song quickly picked up editorial support at Apple Music (NMD, New In Alt, Alt Control) and Spotify (Shockwave). Plus, BBC Introducing spins and support from John Kennedy at Radio X. This Thursday (20 October), he will play John Kennedy’s Remedy night at Signature Brewery Haggerston and then the Big Hug Showcase at the Grace on 28 November. For fans of Tom Grennan, Miles Kane and Tom A Smith.
