My Father

Hannah White & The Nordic Connections

Sound Lounge Records

WE SAY

This tender and heartfelt Americana tinged song about London-based singer-songwriter Hannah White’s upbringing and her father’s imprisonment is her second single with The Nordics Connections. Their first collaboration, the summery and upbeat City Beats, picked up support from Radio 2 Country Show, Keith Greentree’s Big Country Show and BBC regional radio shows, as well as a featured spot on Spotify’s Very Nearly Nashville editorial playlist. With its powerful melody and pure vocals, My Father has continued to build on their earlier success with spins on Keith Greentree’s Big Country show and BBC Scotland. This Saturday (31 August) will see them perform as one of the headline acts at the Bergen International Americana Festival in Norway and on 14 September they will play The British Country Music Festival in Blackpool. All in all, it's shaping up to be an exciting six months to come for the band, alongside their debut album due in January, and this stirring gem is just a glimpse of what’s to come.
