Hannah Georgas

Dine Alone

WE SAY

We could have featured either track recently made available from Vancouver singer-songwriter Hannah Georgas' eponymous second album, out in the UK on October 21 through Dine Alone Records. Chris Hawkins at Radio 2 picked up on yearning lead single Robotic, but the Feist-y Somebody, being given away as a free download, is just as strong, if not stronger. Both give a taster of the more electronic direction brought to her earlier acoustic leanings by production whiz Graham Walsh of Holy F-ck. Hannah Georgas earned JUNO nominations in her native Canada for Songwriter of The Year and Alternative Album of The Year, while debut album This Is Good was likewise nominated for Songwriter of The Year and Best New Artist. Hannah comes to the UK for two shows in early October before returning to Canada for a string of further dates.

London gigs: Old Blue Last, October 1 / Servant Jazz Quarters, October 3
