WE SAY
The debut EP from Haim offers equal measures of pop joy and soulful delivery, making choosing our favourite tough, but Forever certainly makes for a great radio track. The three LA based sisters clearly have a strong sense of style, combining effortlessly to create luscious harmonies and a sound that, whilst has its roots in the 80s and 90s most certainly sounds current. Their recent shows at SXSW have seen them earmarked by many (including us) as one of the stand out artists, picking up a healthy glut of positive press in the wake, including NME and the Guardian in the UK. The latter hit the nail on the head, describing their juxtaposed sound as "Stevie Nicks produced by Dallas Austin or the Staves". Haim’s forthcoming appearances at The Great Escape will be accompanied by a London show which will no doubt be a red hot ticket.
