WE SAY
Pulsing synths and a throbbing bass guitar pushed high up in the mix were all that was needed to hook us into this fabulously cool track from Norwegian artist Gundelach. It’s just over year since we first feature their music when the song Fjernsynet from their self-titled debut EP was featured soon after we’d been impressed by their live show at the by:Larm festival in Oslo. That EP was later nominated for Spellemann Award, the Norwegian equivalent of a Grammy, and received further acclaim across Europe, Scandinavia and the UK, with festival audiences and key tastemakers. Now comes the next chapter as he starts to set things up for the forthcoming debut LP with this addictive tune, co-written by hip-hop producer Aksel Carlsen and co-produced by John Calvert, noted for his work with NAO and Ghostpoet among others. More tour dates for the summer and autumn are lined up across the Nordic regions, and hopefully he’ll be back to visit the UK soon too. For now, this is so insanely good and uber hip, don't be surprised if you rapidly end up playing it endlessly on a loop.
