Learnalilgivinanlovin
Gotye
WE SAY
We featured the excellent Hearts A Mess from Gotye, a Belgian born, Melbourne-based singer songwriter back in December last year. Learnalilgivinanlovin is the follow-up single and what a short but brilliantly joyful piece of soul-pop it is. Gotye has attained strong cult status in Australia, with the album Like Drawing Blood being voted Triple J's listeners favourite of 2007 (watch his great live performance of this song on Triple J here) and achieving platinum sales. He also won an ARIA award for Best Male Artist. This is a perfect summer tune for radio - and although early support has come from Radcliffe and Maconie at R2 and Gary Crowley on BBC London, wider support would be well-deserved. A UK headline tour will follow this release in September. JF London gig: September 9, London Scala N1
