Easy Way Out
Gotye
WE SAY
Phenomenal songwriting talent Gotye is finally breaking into the mainstream as he begins his campaign for forthcoming album Making Mirrors. For anyone new to Gotye make sure you listen to Heart's A Mess which we featured as RotD in 2007. We were recently blown away by song of the year contender Somebody That I Used To Know which, having amassed a rather impressive 12.5 million YouTube hits, is set for a full release February 6, the week before the album. First single of the campaign - Easy Way Out - shows the depth of quality Gotye can offer. A more electric track, it's lead by Beck-eque distorted guitar, making for a grittier affair than the two previously featured RotD's. Gotye has been picking up UK coverage from Xfm, Radio 1, 6Music, Q, NME and Pitchfork, which is supported by a wealth of blog love that has become synonymous with the Belgium-born artist. Gotye's gigs next week are both sold out.
London Gig: October 31, St Stephens Church W12 // November 1, King College Student Union WC2
