Germein Sisters
WE SAY
Australian trio Germein Sisters decided to form a band properly in 2012 after spending most of their childhood together jamming on their family’s bushland property in the Adelaide Hills. It wasn’t long after that Irish music producer Billy Farrell became aware of them, which led them to record their debut album with him. He’s also worked with names like Brian Kennedy, Westlife and The Corrs and it’s the latter band whose sound you can hear shining through in the harmonies and sibling spirit of this slick track. One of four songs on their exclusive UK EP titled Because You Breathe, it gives a flavour of the album that’s already been released elsewhere and helped them cultivate a growing fanbase. After opening up for Sting & Paul Simon in their native land last year, the girls hit London tonight (June 10) for an intimate gig downstairs at Roadtrip on Old Street before playing the Hard Rock Stage at the Isle of Wight festival this Friday evening. Easy on the ear and deserving your attention, this is neatly polished and radio-friendly right from the off.
