Carte Postale
George Pringle
WE SAY
Oxford-based George Pringle has being gathering interest for quite some time for her odd, but fascinating, blend of spoken monologues over basic electronic beats. Press has been healthy, as you can see from the coverage posted on her blog, with features in i-D magazine and a Plan B covermount in the space of a month along with a piece about Garageband in this week's Guardian Technology. Radio support has come from Huw Stephens and Rob da Bank at Radio 1. Loud&Quiet magazine summed it up when they reviewed this track: "Carte Postale is a strangely comforting, melancholic, beautiful track. It's a tune with appeal that's hard to pin down."George Pringle is unsigned for both records and publishing - at present interest is building. Press is by Freeman PR. ITC fringe Gig: Sunday 21st Oct, Cornerhouse Cafe, 6pm. Entry free to all, but mail sean@discontempt.com for list to ensure entry.
