Autralian/Italian singer Gabriella Cilmi's debut album Lessons To Be Learned is due out next summer, with this as the lead single. Her performance of this on last week's Later With Jools Holland can be seen here. Sweet About Me is a great pop song, backed with Cilmi's strong bluesy voice. Gabriella also sings the title track to new ITV drama Echo Beach which launches next month, and has a track on the St Trinian's movie soundtrack. She is lined up to support Nouvelle Vague on UK dates early next year and will also support Rufus Wainwright on his forthcoming sold-out Australian dates. An exciting debut from an artist with a memorable vocal - we should be hearing lots from her next year. JF
