FYA FOX

Self Released (FF Records)

WE SAY

Back in February, we introduced you to emerging Irish artist FYA FOX and her gorgeous alt-pop gem Body. Since then, FYA has been working on new music, developing her songwriting with established writers Blair MacKichan (Sia, Paloma Faith) and Jony Rockstar (Izzy Bizu, Sugababes), and continued to create a buzz in the industry. Tastemakers Hot Press, Nialler 9, and Alfitude are among her admirers, while Radio One’s Gemma Bradley and Spotify (Fresh Finds) are supporters, along with BBC Ulster, 2fm and Today’s FM. Now back with this stunning offering today (21 May), FYA delivers another tune worthy of your attention. Much like London Grammar’s Hannah Reid, FYA’s vocals are instantly mesmerising and engaging as she explores the idea/belief of meeting again in an afterlife amidst some lush electronic production, tribal drums and swirling percussive elements. Beautifully produced, we reckon this deserves to be featured on new pop, mood and contextual playlists. With each release, FYA raises the bar, and believe us, it won’t be long now before she breaks through in an enormous way.
