WE SAY
Body is a two minute slab of alt-pop from emerging Irish artist FYA FOX. Inspired by the sparse electronic pop of London Grammar, Banks and Lana Del Rey, the classically trained vocalist delivers a brooding ode about lost love in this irresistible gem. Premiered on Hot Press as its ‘Track of the Day’ last Thursday, the track has been added to BBC Ulster’s ‘Where Music Matters’ and Today FM’s ‘Ed’s National Anthems’ playlists. With its sultry vibe and minimal sound, it’s perfect for alt-pop and mood-driven contextual playlists. It may be early days for FYA, but with previous support from Radio 1 (Gemma Bradley), Irish regional radio and blogs like Nialler 9 already, her star is set only to rise further in 2021.
