WE SAY
Something You Should Know is the next single from Welsh band Friends Electric on new indie label The Blue Team. A shimmering synth-laden outing with a big pop heart, it's promising that it seems to be picking up plenty of fans in the right places. Spot plays for the single have come already from Huw Stephens and Jen Long on Radio 1 and Janice Long on Radio 2, who has also had the band in session recently. Further good news for the band has come in the shape of an upcoming slot on the BBC Introducing playlist on Radio 1 for previous single Golden Blood, which had already had R1 and R2 plays and support from BBC Radio 1 Wales, and made XFM's evening playlist. Among the healthy online coverage they've had, a fantastic stripped-back live version of this single was carried on This Is Fake DIY. Friends Electric are available for records and publishing. Video.
