Freshlyground consists of seven musicians from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe who formed in Cape Town in 2002. This incredibly catchy single was last year’s big radio hit in South Africa. It’s from their second album, Nomvula, which is triple platinum in South Africa. They signed to Sony BMG Africa late last year, and now plans for Europe are in place. A recent appearance on GMTV has ramped up public interest in Freshlyground over here. This is a wonderfully upbeat, infectiously groovy song with the potential to be a staple on UK radio too.
