Do You Want To

Franz Ferdinand

Domino

WE SAY

We know we're late on this (it's no 3 in the midweeks) but we can't stop singing this. We've gone from thinking it's a decent comeback to realising it's simply a great pop record. Delicious flavours of Chinn & Chapman, with as many hooks as just about any of their songs. It nails Franz Ferdinand's colours to the mast as a good time pop band and we love them for it. It has converted John Harris too, as this (link) Guardian piece shows. We stumbled across this old (link) interview with Domino founder Laurence Bell - check the last two questions for serious prescience about where his label was about to go!
