Franco Fire
WE SAY
London/Irish indie-electro band Franco Fire released their debut EP in June and this follow-up to previous single Forget is the standout track for us. They’re fronted by Marc O’Reilly, a singer-songwriter whose work we’ve featured many times in the past, most notably his wonderful solo single Bleed, which has now been streamed 1.4 million times on Spotify, and was featured in the German box office sensation Whatever Happens. The band formed from the ashes of R, who won over many influential fans at Radio 1, 2 and 6Music a few years ago with their debut single Change, which also scored a No.1 on the Amazing Radio chart. This latest song is picking early support on Irish radio and UK radio promo begins this week. At the weekend, the Irish edition of The Sunday Times made Franco Fire their featured Breakthrough Act and blogger Nialler9 had them as his new artist of the week too. All in all, they've delivered a spellbinding, compelling and hypnotic groove that's totally engrossing throughout, and one that manages to get under you skin, drawing you back to it time and time again.
