Perfect
Fountainheads
WE SAY
This was tipped to us ages ago by message board regular Ben Cook (not the Ministry Of Sound one). Sorry we slept on it for so long Ben. It's epic, melodically bold, and inhabits the space between The Cardigans and Evanescence which, needless to say, could be a very lucrative space. The band tell us Perfect was featured in last year's most critically acclaimed Norwegian movie Hawaii, Oslo. The single was later released on the band's own small label ESEL Music in a fast-selling limited edition accompanying the DVD release of the movie. The song was one of the listeners' favourite tracks on national non-commercial radio P3 in autumn 2004. Fountainheads are an Oslo based six-piece band (lead singer Lucy Swann, originally from Newcastle, moved to Norway at the age of 12) who are currently working on finishing the songs for their debut album while playing gigs anywhere in Oslo. The band is not yet signed on a major record label but hope to release a new single and an album later this year. Watch the video here.
