WE SAY
This was first released in the UK on their manager's imprint, Stuckupmusic, back in 2004. At the time it received a positive reception from Radio 1, 6Music and Xfm, and critical acclaim from others. So why feature now? It features on their recent US debut, a 5-track EP. It has been released through Santa Monica's So Sweet label, which make it their aim to break UK indie acts Stateside. With bags of atmosphere and attitude, this track's shouty start, melodramatic swings and choppy riffs make it a winner to please both commercial and artistic tastes. Radio 1's website will feature a diary of FNY's forthcoming promo trip to LA. JF Tipped by: Chomsky, Gary, timmydownthewell, Red Eye Fly. London gig: 1 April, Water Rats, 8pm
