My Silver Lining

WE SAY
Hailing from the Swedish capital Stockholm, sisters Klara and Joanna Sderberg are the duo better known as First Aid Kit. Both still in their early twenties, this sublime first single comes from their new album Stay Gold. It's 18 months since we last featured them here with a track from their Witchita-released breakthrough The Lion's Roar, which went on to gain silver status in the UK alone and sold over 250,000 copies worldwide. It also bagged them four Swedish Grammys last year too. This new track is already A listed at BBC 6 Music and on the C list at Radio 2. There's a sold-out gig this Thursday night (May 15) at London's Islington Assembly Hall. Then there's Latitude and Green Man festivals in the summer before a UK headline tour in September culminating with a prestigious night at the Royal Albert Hall on September 24, which has literally just been announced this morning. We'll be straight with you, this song is so impossibly beautiful vocally and almost cinematic in atmosphere that If you don't immediately fall in love with it, you truly have a heart of stone.
