WE SAY
Olly Dixon and Tim Lawton a.k.a Filthy Dukes have built a reputation by remixing the likes of Maccabees and The Rakes, supporting LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip and with their London club nights like Adventures in the Beetroot Field and Kill 'Em All. They are joined by Mark Ralph for their live outfit. The vocal on this strong first outing is Late Of The Pier frontman Samuel Dust, which works brilliantly alongside the infectious backing, which calls on everything from New Order to more contemporary acts like Simian Mobile Disco. It sounds cool yet accessible, and promises much for their full debut album which is due next spring on Fiction. JF
